Ameristar Logo
2011
Description
This was a logo for a small corporate housing company in Texas. They were really open to something fun which was a surprise. I had been wanting to so something with a bit of a "retro" feel for awhile, so this was a really fun project.

This was a project for Pinnacle Frames. These were new, high end frames and we wanted the packaging to reflect that. I used matte and gloss varnish for the gift box as well as a hang-tag so the customer could read about the product without having to turn it over.Art Direction, Packaging, Production2011 -
This is a concept design for a friend of mine in California who is trying to start his own vineyard. He and I both share a love of wine and DeStijl, so it wasn't hard to sell him on this idea. I loved having the opportunity to blend both my personal taste in art and professional design.Art Direction, Graphic Design, Packaging2011 -
Watches have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, so I finally decided to start designing my own! This is the first batch with more to come.Graphic Design, Illustration, Product Design2012 -
This was a point of purchase display for Klass. This particular piece is a Photoshop mock-up that was done to show the client. The original structure was white and the graphics were added.Graphic Design, Packaging, Print Design2011 -
This was a concept design I did for a job interview. The person wanted to see what I could come up with so I went home and brought him these shortly thereafter. I believe my speed is one of the things that makes me an asset and this project really showcased that.Advertising, Graphic Design, Multimedia2011 -
Feeling that my portfolio needed a little more advertising (as well as more fun) I decided to work up this concept. I think it's a great play on how smart phones can't do EVERYTHING and beer companies still have to do some things the old way.Art Direction, Graphic Design, Marketing2011 -
This is the 2011 catalog for Pinnacle Frames. Our catalog was very utilitarian and my goal was to take it to the next level and really show off the product. It was a tough job with a lot of work for both myself and our photographer (we have over 1,000 items) but the end result was worth it.Art Direction, Graphic Design, Multimedia2011 -
This was a personal project to flex my creative muscles. I had an idea on a whim and decided to work it out.Graphic Design, Packaging, Product Design2011 -
This was a logo design for a local company that flips homes. They're a young company and have a fun sense of humor as the name shows. They were up for a fun logo as well.Art Direction, Creative Direction, Graphic Design2011 -
This was a promotional piece for Pinnacle Frames. We wanted to get more clients to come to see our showroom in Texas so we created a "Texas Tour" package. It contained several personalized Texas products as well as an invitation to visit.Art Direction, Digital Imaging, Marketing2011 -
This was a project for a small company with a modest budget. Because of the small budget, this was printed on a somewhat low end direct print press. I designed it to work with what the press could do while masking its limitations. I also created packaging with contrast so the client could create eye-catching displays even though the packaging was one color.Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Packaging2011 -
This was a project I worked on while at Pennzoil. It involved a shrink label on a bottle shaped like a race car. The challenge was that the shrinking warped the art, so it had to be distorted. The procedure had to go back and forth several times.Graphic Design, Packaging, Production2011 -
This logo was designed for a young business owner in Austin, Texas. She wanted something fun and feminine, but simple. Her salon is very modern and clean and she wanted her logo to reflect that.Advertising, Branding, Graphic Design2012 -

This was a logo for a local networking group. They met once a month and since it was meant to be somewhat informal they wanted something a little more fun.Art Direction, Graphic Design, Marketing2011 -
This was a project I worked on while on contract at Pennzoil. It is for a youth oriented windshield wiper. Call it a windshield wiper for the "Fast & Furious" crowd.Art Direction, Packaging, Product Design2011 -

I saw this guy while in New York. He was completely decked out in old-school gear selling hand-made shoes. He had the hat, the apron, the selvage jeans, yet there he sat addicted to his iPhone. It was too good a shot not to get.Photography2011 -
This was a photo taken in New York. I was actually shooting what was in the window, but the reflection from behind me turned out sharper. The image of the bear head on top of the building was just a cool side effect.Photography2011
